Book a registrar and pay for your ceremony

If you've decided where you'd like to have your ceremony in St Helens, you can make a provisional ceremony booking. 

Due to a technical issue, our online ceremony booking system is currently unavailable. In the meantime, please ring 01744 673395 for further assistance.

Please note that a non-refundable, provisional ceremony booking fee of £47 is payable at the time of booking. 

All civil weddings and civil partnerships must be attended by a superintendent registrar and a registrar from the register office of the district in which the ceremony will take place.

Confirmation of your booking

We aim to respond to your provisional booking application within two working days by email. We will check your request against available time slots for your chosen venue. Ceremony times are dependent on the number of bookings made on your chosen date; therefore we cannot guarantee a specific time. You will be advised of your ceremony time by email.

Please note that your provisional booking retains a time slot for a registrar to attend your ceremony only. Your marriage/civil partnership cannot take place until your legal preliminaries (notices) have been given and the final ceremony fees have been paid.

You will need to call us on 01744 673395 to make your final payment. Please note, final payment is due 8 weeks prior to your ceremony.
