Bold Forest Garden Village
About the project
The Bold Forest Garden Village Masterplan is currently being developed in line with site allocation 4HA and Policy LPA11 included in the council's Local Plan. As a key source of housing supply in the borough over the coming years, Bold Forest Garden Village aims to deliver around 3,000 new homes, comprising 30% affordable housing alongside community infrastructure including a new primary school, on site health care provision and strategic open space. Plans to transform the 128-hectare site will come forward in line with the St Helens Local Plan and follow garden village principles, providing long term benefits to the local area, St Helens Borough and the wider city region.
The masterplan is being prepared in line with Garden Village principles, with a focus upon high-quality design and landscape delivery. It is about ensuring a healthy, sustainable and connected life for all residents, future generations and the wider borough.
Following our initial consultation in April, the council have undertaken a second consultation, held between Monday 3rd and Monday 24th November. You can view the full draft of the Masterplan Framework published at this consultation below:

A consultation statement will be published shortly which summarises the consultation process and outcomes of the project.
Once responses from the consultation have been processed the council are aiming to complete and adopt a Masterplan Framework for Bold Forest Garden Village this winter.
