Support available for those bereaved by suicide
Amparo provides both emotional and practical support for anyone affected by suicide. Their experienced liaison workers can listen to your needs and assist you in accessing the support you need, whilst helping with a range of practical matters such as:
liaising with police and coroners
helping with media inquiries
preparing for and attending inquest
helping you to access other appropriate, local support services.

SoBS offers peer-led support for adults bereaved by suicide. They help individuals support each other, at the time of their loss and in the months and years that follow. They aim to provide safe, confidential environments where people can share their experiences and feelings, giving and gaining support from each other.

Alfie's squad provides specialist suicide bereavement support for children, young people, and their families. Through peer support groups, they help children feel understood, less alone, and supported after the loss of a loved one to suicide.They host in-person support groups that take place each Thursday between 6pm-8pm in the Baltic Area of Liverpool. They also host an online group every other Tuesday. You can make a referral via their website or contact them at info@alfiessquad.org.

This guide was mainly written by people bereaved by suicide, to provide more relevant and personal guidance to others.
