Councillors have endorsed new plans to invest more than £1.2 million into the borough's roads as part of a Government funding package.

St Helens Borough Council is celebrating extra success in this year's Green Flag Awards, as two additional parks receive the prestigious mark of quality, bringing the council's total to five.

Known as Millersdale, the property in Clock Face will provide six trainer flats for care leavers aged 17 and over, helping them transition into adulthood while staying close to their families, schools, and support networks.
