Safeguarding Adults in St.Helens

In St Helens the Council, Health Services and the Police all have a safeguarding duty to protect adults from abuse.

This applies to persons aged 18 years and over who have care and support needs and as a result cannot protect themselves from abuse or neglect.

This includes very elderly people and those with mental illness, brain injury or a learning disability.

Take a look through this short presentation, it may help you decide what to do if you have concerns about a friend, relative, neighbour or someone you provide care for.
