St.Helens Council is the Admission Authority for community and voluntary controlled schools within the borough. We consulted on the admission arrangements and coordinated admissions scheme for 2018/19 in December 2016/ January 2017.
In accordance with The School Admissions (Admission Arrangements and Co-ordination of Admission Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2012, St.Helens Council determined, in February 2017, the admission arrangements for Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools in 2018/19 and the Coordinated Admissions Scheme for all maintained schools in 2018/19.
Details are provided below.
The aim of the co-ordinated scheme is to provide all parents with an offer of a single school place on National Offer Day.
Any person or body has a right to object to admission arrangements, subject to the relevant sections of The School Admissions (Admission Arrangements and Co-ordination of Admission Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2012. Objections had to be submitted to the Office for Schools Adjudicator by 15th May 2017.
Objections can be made online at GOV.UK or in writing to OSA, Bishopsgate House, Feethams, Darlington, DL1 5QE.
