DECISION ON PERMANENT EXPANSION OF BLEAK HILL PRIMARY SCHOOL

Between 8 October 2018 and 12 November 2018, St Helens Council consulted on a proposal to permanently expand Bleak Hill Primary School.

On 9 January 2019, after carefully considering the outcome of the consultation (see below), St Helens Council's Cabinet determined:

  • the proposed expansion of Bleak Hill Primary School would enable the Council to continue to discharge its duty to ensure a sufficiency of high-quality primary school places in the local area and;
  • the permanent expansion of the school should commence in September 2019 with 75 pupils to be admitted into Reception Year, then 90 pupils each Reception Year from September 2020 onwards.
