2-2.5 Year Review

Little girl with balloonsAs part of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme and ensuring that children not only receive the best start in life but are school ready by the age of 4, a number of health reviews take place in these important early years, including a 2-2.5 Year Integrated Review.

The 2-2.5 year review aims to:

  • Provide a more complete view of the child
  • Support early intervention
  • Inform planning
  • Reduce duplication

By carrying out the integrated reviews the following outcomes will be achieved:

  • Identify the child’s progress, strengths and needs at this age, in order to promote positive outcomes in health and wellbeing, learning and behaviour
  • Facilitate appropriate intervention and support for children and their families, especially those for whom progress is less than expected
  • Generate information which can be used to plan services and contribute to the reduction of inequalities in children’s outcomes
  • Ensure that all children in St Helens have the opportunity to be school ready
