Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD) are prepared to expand on, or provide further details on policy in the development plan document, but do not have development plan status. These documents can demonstrate through illustrations, text and practical examples how policies can be taken forward. A series of Supplementary Planning Guidance Notes were created to support the Unitary Development Plan. However, all but one have been replaced by new Supplementary Planning Documents.
