St.Helens based cultural venues and arts organisations offer a wide range of arts events and activity both in the Town Centre and across the borough.

Open Art Competition 2017

This has now closed.

However, you can still visit the exhibition at The World of Glass and view all the entries including the winners.

This competition takes place every year in partnership with St.Helens Council and The Rainford Trust & entries across all mediums - including ceramics, digital, drawing, glass, mixed media, painting, photography and sculpture - are welcomed from artists aged 16 and over who live, work or study in St.Helens.

Artists may also present their work for sale, should they wish to do so.

How to enter the competition

You can view this year's entry form which explains all you need to do and 2018's submission dates will be published online and on our Facebook and Twitter pages towards the Spring of next year. You will also be able to collect entry forms from The World of Glass or any library in St.Helens.
