Due to its size preventing it from facilitating the necessary social distancing measures, the School Lane venue has not been able to open since closing in March 2020 for health and safety reasons to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Paper copies of an ongoing libraries consultation will also be available for collection.

Councillor Anthony Burns, St Helens Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Culture and Heritage, said: “We know how much our libraries mean to the people that visit them, so it’s great to be back offering our services, whether it’s full book borrowing, computer use, or click and collect which has been really well received since it was introduced.

“I’d like to once again thank our loyal library visitors for their cooperation and understanding during what has been a difficult year – and take the opportunity to encourage people to take part in our consultation to help shape the future of our fantastic library service.”

Garswood Library will be open Mondays, 10:00am-2:00pm and Fridays, 1:00pm-5:00pm.
