To be held this autumn, the 2021 St Helens Borough Business Awards – sponsored by Paramount Digital – is open to businesses of all sizes and sectors to enter free of charge in the following thirteen categories:

It is the first time St Helens Borough Council and St Helens Chamber have come together to hold such an occasion in partnership, opting to share each other’s strengths and knowledge in the business sector to host one big celebration, with the event replacing the previous Invest St Helens Business Awards.

Tracy Mawson, Chief Executive at St Helens Chamber, said: “Over the past year, we have seen the determination, strength and camaraderie of businesses across the Borough.

These awards will be an opportunity for us, and the public, to say a big thank you to those businesses and bring their stories into the limelight.

“We have added new categories to this year’s awards, which recognise those businesses that are not just successful in their own right, but have shown strength and resilience in the face of adversity and made huge contributions to supporting their local community through the hardest of years.

“I would encourage all businesses big and small to review the categories, enter and join us in celebrating your success.”

Councillor David Baines, Leader of St Helens Borough Council, added:

“This year has been extremely tough for businesses, many of which have been forced to close for large periods of time – but I’m proud of the efforts of the Council and Chamber in quickly responding to this crisis, putting various support measures in place such as grant funding opportunities and help and advice getting people back into employment or at risk of redundancy.

“That’s why it’s fitting for us to come together to hold the 2021 St Helens Borough Business Awards as a joint partnership effort – very much in the spirit of St Helens Together – to recognise what businesses have achieved over the last year despite the difficulties – and raise a toast to a brighter future as we reset and recover from the pandemic.”

The awards ceremony will be held at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday 15th October. Tickets are available at £50 +vat. For more information about the awards and to enter visit https://www.sthelens.gov.uk/businessawards
