From 7–12 October, Libraries Week is a week-long celebration of the nation’s much-loved libraries, with this year's highlighting the different ways they can help people of all ages through digital support, services and activities.

Throughout the week, St Helens Library Service will deliver activities with a digital focus for adults and young people including children’s coding clubs, digital themed Read & Rhyme Times, and introductions to digital wellbeing apps.

Library staff will also be showcasing the free eBooks, eAudiobooks, comics and magazines which are available to library members.

Using your library card, RB Digital provides access to popular magazines such as Good Housekeeping, Gardeners' World and Marvel digital comics. While  BorrowBox - the eBook and eAudiobook service - makes it easy to browse, borrow, read or listen to a wide collection of titles – all which can be downloaded direct to your device.

St Helens Council’s Cabinet Member for Public Health, Leisure and Libraries, Councillor Anthony Burns said: “We have a brilliant programme of activities during Libraries Week that we hope will bring the community together and find out more about all the ways we can help people through digital support and services to get connected, get creative and learn new skills.

“Everyone is welcome and the library is free to join.”
