Great British Spring Clean

In an attempt to make the borough’s parks and open spaces a more pleasant and safer place for families, dog walkers, and wildlife, local community groups, Rainford in Bloom and the Remix Volunteering Group are calling on local residents to roll up their sleeves and join them for a morning of spring cleaning in Linear Park in Rainford and Chain Lane Park, Blackbrook.

For those interested in taking part, the Linear Park event will get underway at 10:00am from the Cross Pit Lane park entrance – while the Chain Lane Park tidy-up operation starts at 11:00am, with volunteers asked to meet at Chain Lane Community Centre where refreshments and shelter will be available.

Stout footwear and sensible clothing in the event of wet or cold weather is advised.
