Update: Water supply is has now been restored to residents in WA10 and WA11

Residents are advised that the water main burst affecting the WA10 and WA11 areas of the borough, has now been repaired and supplies should be returning to normal.

The burst was connected to works by United Utilities under the Scafell Road/A580 East Lancashire Road bridge to repair a leak on the water main.

Engineers have worked through the night to repair the fault and supplies were back on around 5.30am this morning.
