This International Women’s Day (Wednesday 8 March) as part of our ‘We Can Women's Wellbeing Campaign', we want to know about the woman in your life who inspires you.

It could be your mum, nan, sister, friend, wife, teacher, work colleague - any lady in your life who is an inspiration.

Share your inspirations, stories and pictures with us on Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #wecan and let's celebrate the women who inspire us!

From Wednesday 8 March through to April, St Helens Council’s Cabinet Member Public Health and Wellbeing, Councillor Jeanie Bell, will tweet about a different inspirational woman from St Helens every day. Look out for this by searching the hashtag #wecan.

Councillor Bell said: “We need more women and girls to be thinking, ‘we can enjoy good health, we can feel happier, we can achieve more,’ and a lot of that has to do with self-belief and aspirations.

“With this campaign, we’re highlighting the great things that all women can achieve, no matter what their background is or the challenges they face.”
