Bereavement Service open days

As part of the national ‘Dying Matters Awareness Week’ (8-14 May), St Helens Council’s Bereavement Service is holding two open days to help raise public awareness on the cremation and burial services available in St Helens.

The open days, held at Newton Cemetery and St Helens Cemetery and Crematorium, are an opportunity for members of the public to meet with the Bereavement Services team, local funeral directors, stone masons and friends of cemetery groups, to ask any questions they may have.


Saturday 6 May 2017 – 10:00am -1:00pm


Newton Cemetery: Come along and meet the Bereavement Services team, local funeral directors and friends of the cemetery group.


Sunday 7 May 2017 – 10:00am-2:00pm


St Helens Cemetery and Crematorium: Take part in a tour of the crematorium and cemetery and hear about the history of St Helens Cemetery. There will also be exhibits and stands from the Bereavement Service’s Partnership Funeral Directors, friends of the cemetery group, and local stone masons.
