Easter Bank Holiday bin collections

Article date - 11 April 2017

With a long Easter Bank Holiday weekend to look forward to, there’s always that little bit of confusion in households about recycling and waste collections.

But there’s no need to anxiously wait to see which bins your neighbours are putting out, because it couldn’t be simpler.

Collections falling on Good Friday, 14 April will be collected one day later on Saturday 15 April.

Collections during the weeks beginning 17 April (Easter Monday), 1 May (Early May Bank Holiday) and 29 May (Spring Bank Holiday) will also be collected one day later, as listed on your personalised collection calendar.

It’s important that you use all services during these weeks to avoid a build-up of recycling and waste and to allow for a smooth collection in the following weeks.

For waste and recycling queries visit the Recycling and Waste section of our website or call 01744 676789.
