Children and Families

**Selected St Helens libraries reopened to the public on Monday 27 July as part of a phased return, with a number of measures in place to keep visitors and staff safe.

Returning and borrowing books and other items is possible; however, newspapers and magazines will be unavailable for a temporary period.

St Helens Archives is also open (bookings must be made in advance of your visit).**

We offer an extensive range of books, resources, events and activities for parents and children of all ages.

Read and Rhyme Times

Just 10 minutes a day reading with your child can help them to do better at school, so why not make using your library part of your routine and attend one of our regular Read and Rhyme Times?

Summer Reading Challenge

Children can take part each year in the Summer Reading Challenge, gaining rewards and completing exciting activities while reading great books over the long summer break.
