Children and Families

The Library Service in St.Helens welcomes children and families and is free to join.

We offer an extensive range of books, resources, events and activities for parents and children of all ages.

Read and Rhyme Times

Just ten minutes a day reading with your child can help them to do better at school so why not make using your library part of your routine and attend one of our regular Read and Rhyme Times.

Summer Reading Challenge

Children can take part each year in the Summer Reading Challenge, gaining rewards and taking part in exciting activities whilst reading great books over the long, summer break

Special events

Libraries offer hundreds of events for children throughout the year.

Now is the time to visit your library to see what’s on offer. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter or take a look at our What's on page.
