Build skills, confidence and motivation

If you are experiencing low mood, stress or anxiety, our wellbeing programme will help you to improve your self confidence and get the most from life. 

Learn to Grow is a project that delivers FREE community based courses as part of a national research study measuring the impact of learning on wellbeing.

The Programme will be helpful if you are:

  • Aged 19 or over and are experiencing low mood or anxiety
  • Interested in learning-based opportunities or activities to help improve your wellbeing

Taking Part in a learning activity can help you to:

  • Improve health and wellbeing
  • Reduce anxiety and depression
  • Improve confidence, self-esteem and self-worth
  • Become more independent 
  • Return to employment or training

Our courses

Learn to Grow courses run for 5/6 weeks. After you have finished a course, you will be able to move onto any Develop and Grow course and we will support you in making your next steps.
We offer the following courses:

  • Photography
  • Crafts
  • Creative Writing
  • Positive Thinking
  • Stress Less
  • Computers for Beginners

How do I take part?

  • If you are interested in Learn to Grow, you will be invited to attend an informal welcome session to find out more about the activities you can take part in. As part of the project, we will ask you to complete our wellbeing tools which help us to record your progression throughout the programme.
