Welcome to sthelens.gov.uk

Best place to find information and services that your council provides...

Ranger Services

The Ranger Service provides environmental information, advice and support, as well as a friendly face and helping hand, to local residents and visitors alike!

  • We organise events and activities for all ages in local parks, open spaces and woodland sites.
  • We provide information on other walks, trails, wildlife and natural points of interest.
  • We undertake conservation works, and encourage community involvement.

We liase closely with local people via focus groups and “Friends of” meetings, in order to share future proposals and get input into the forward management of local parks and open spaces.

Events & Activities

We organise a wide variety of regular events and educational activities for groups of all ages utilising our numerous parks, open spaces, and other woodland sites.
Up to date information on these and other activities taking place across St.Helens is available from www.whatsoninsthelens.com

Walks & Trails

St.Helens’ attractive landscape and topography means that there are a number of excellent walks throughout the Borough.

The Ranger Service has previously produced free guides for 5 of these trails:

Printed versions will be available from the Ranger stations highlighted below.
