Weddings at St Helens Town Hall

Planning your special day

St.Helens Town Hall - a building of timeless elegance - is the perfect venue for your special day. Providing a truly stunning setting, our building is full of character, ornate details and stunning architecture with spectacular staircases and century-old stained glass windows.

Enjoy exclusive use of our stunning Council Chamber for your ceremony.

  • Seats up to 100 guests
  • Boasts two original sandstone fireplaces along with oak panelling and large glass windows
  • Ceremonies - Friday and Saturday between 12pm and 6pm.   

Our Main Hall provides a superb setting for wedding breakfasts and evening receptions.

  • Accommodates up to 120 guests for wedding breakfast
  • Up to 150 guests for evening reception 
  • Hall fitted with a bar - licensed to sell and serve alcohol until 1am. 

Our high standard catering and bar team provide a range of delicious food and drink menus to suit all tastes and budgets, from tempting canapés and sparkling champagne to wedding breakfasts and delicious gourmet buffets.

Friendly staff will help to accommodate your needs, from pre-booking through to running your event on the day itself. If you have a particular date in mind, we recommend that you contact the office as soon as possible to check availability. 

Please note: before any wedding can take place, it is a legal requirement to give notice to your local Register Office.
