👉 Launched #StHelensTogether 01744 676767, a single point of contact for people needing support or wanting to volunteer, coordinating the amazing work of volunteers and groups across the borough
👉 Produced an information portal at sthelens.gov.uk/coronavirus with information for residents, businesses and organisations
👉 Redeployed council staff to help keep essential front-line services running including our contact centre, adult social care and registrar's service, and other staff to support the community response
👉 Suspended all council parking charges so that NHS staff, key workers and those on essential journeys don’t have to worry about parking fees
👉 Committed that for every green bin collection we’ve had to cancel, we’ll give a free collection next year
👉 Provided temporary accommodation for every rough sleeper in the borough
👉 Suspended all debt collection and bailiff action for council tax arrears, provided help towards the cost of council tax, and access to the Government Hardship Fund
👉 Provided and coordinated free school meals for every child who needs one
👉 Coordinated support for business including financial support and business advice
👉 Committed to providing advice and guidance for residents to access job opportunities through our Ways To Work programme
