Choosing to receive your Council Tax bill via a safe and secure personal online account saves you time, reduces the impact on the environment and helps us save on postal/printing costs, enabling more money to be spent on vital services within your area.
e-Billing is quicker as it enables you to view your bill as soon as it is available. It is also completely safe and secure, removing the potential for postal mail to be delivered incorrectly or not at all.
e-Billing is more convenient: it provides the ability to view your bill directly via your mobile device whilst on the move - options for you to view, download and print your bill at any point are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.*
To join the thousands of people already signed up for e-billing, please follow the steps below:
Step 1 - Create an online account. Registering for an online account only takes a few simple steps and allows you to view real-time information regarding your Council Tax account upon login.
Step 2 - Once logged in to your online account, click "Add Service" and select "Add" under Council Tax from the options presented. A tick should confirm when the service is added, please confirm this at the foot of the page.
Step 3 - Please add your Council Tax account reference to your profile. If you know enough information about your Council Tax account you will be able to subscribe to the details immediately, if not you will need to request a pin letter be sent to you via the post; this will enable you to access the Council Tax account once received and input.
Step 4 - Once you have successfully subscribed to your Council Tax account, you will be asked if you would like to sign up for e-billing. Please enter/confirm the email address you would like to receive notifications to and click "Sign up".
Please follow the link within the email sent to the email address provided to complete the process.
Congratulations, you have successfully signed up for e-billing and joined the thousands of people whom receive their Council Tax bills online. You have the option to revert back to paper notifications at any time you wish whilst retaining the benefits of being able to access your Council Tax account as and when you require.
Should you prefer to receive a paper bill via the post, but still want the benefits of access to your Council Tax account, please complete the steps outlined above and click "Not Now" when asked if you would like to sign up for e-billing.
By managing your Council Tax account online you can quickly and easily check if payments have been received, apply for discounts and reductions and report changes of address without the need to attend our offices or contact via our phone lines, saving you time and money.
Once managing your account online, should you then wish to join those who receive their Council Tax bills online, you may do so at any time by selecting the option "Sign up to e-billing" within your Council Tax summary page.
