This online facility allows you to book an MOT or taxi compliance test and to check the date and time of any future inspection that has already been booked.
In order to access this system you will need to sign up on the council’s website (if you don't already have an account).
The test system will be added to the kiosks located in Wesley House reception in the coming weeks and will be available to use from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. The St Helens Council mobile phone app will also be updated to incorporate the system.

To cancel or reschedule a booking you will need to email us a minimum of 24 hours before the test is due to take place, not including weekends or bank holidays.
Failure to do so will result in the loss of your fees.
If your vehicle fails a test then a retest will be required within 10 working days of the initial test, otherwise another full test will then be required. In cases where a vehicle is submitted for testing with serious defects, the licence may be suspended with immediate effect until such a time as the defects are corrected. This will incur a full test.
If you are unable to access your account or require a password reset you will need to contact St Helens Council's Contact Centre on 01744 676789. You will need to explain that you have an account for the council's online services and describe the issue you're having with accessing your account.
