Making Representations

If you wish to make a representation (comment) on an application, you can make your submission in writing, by using our online portal or by email.

Only representations which relate to the likely effect of the granting of the licence on one or more of the licensing objectives can be considered. The three objectives are:

  • Preventing gambling from being a source of crime or disorder, being associated with crime or disorder or being used to support crime
  • Ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way
  • Protecting children and other vulnerable persons from being harmed or exploited by gambling

We can only consider your representation if you:

  • Live sufficiently close to the premises to be likely to be affected by the authorised activities
  • Have business interests that might be affected by the authorised activities
  • Represent persons in either of the two groups mentioned above

Each application will be decided on it's own merits.
