Pest Control

Due to unforeseen circumstances we apologise that for the time being we are unable to offer a service treating for bees or wasps.

If you do require a treatment for bees or wasps then we would recommend that you contact a registered pest controller via the British Pest Control Association.

All other services particularly for rats and mice are continuing as normal.

We provide a rapid response to your problem pest by offering advice and treatments for both domestic and commercial premises. Whether it's public health pests such as rats, mice, fleas or cockroaches or a nuisance pest such as wasps, we can help.

Sewer-Baiting

The Council undertakes a biannual Sewer Baiting programme in order to pro-actively control the rat population throughout the borough. This is part-funded by United Utilities and is conducted over 6 weeks in February and again in November.

Data collected from both rodent complaints and previous Sewer Baiting programmes is used to ensure that treatments are targeted at the areas of highest rat activity.
