Ordering Copy Certificates

 

 

Fees April 2017-March 2018

Standard - £10 per copy - certificate produced within 7 working days of receipt of an application.

Express - £30 per copy certificate produced same day as payment received.

Additional fees apply for posting out certificates - these fees will be included in the amount paid.

Current Postage fees UK confirmed delivery - £3.00

Special Delivery - £10.00, weight up to 500g. (UK return addresses only - a special signed for service) Overseas Delivery – various prices St Helens Register Office is not liable for any certificates lost or delayed in the post

St Helens Council no longer accepts personal cheques  - only postal orders are accepted.

  • Certificate produced within 7 days.

If you are unsure where an event (birth, marriage or death) took place in England or Wales, you can apply to the General Register Office (GRO). 

The GRO holds copies of all births, marriages and deaths that have taken place in England and Wales.

If you were born in Whiston Hospital, your birth is registered at the Knowsley Register Office. 

If a death occurred in Whiston Hospital, the death is registered at the Knowsley Register Office. 

You will need to apply to Knowsley Register Office for a copy certificate.
