Best place to find information and services that your council provides...
All civil weddings and civil partnerships must be attended by a superintendent registrar and a registrar from the register office of the district in which the ceremony will take place. If your ceremony is in the St Helens district, you should contact the St Helens Register Office to make your booking.
Please note: A non-refundable, provisional ceremony booking fee of £40 is payable at the time of booking; this fee is changing to £42 from 1 April 2021.
Please check current prices for final ceremony payment.
Self-service: Customer self-service portals are available for use at Wesley House, Corporation Street, St Helens, WA10 1HF.
We aim to respond to your provisional booking application within two working days by email. We will check your request against available time slots for your chosen venue. Ceremony times are dependent on the number of bookings made on your chosen date; therefore we cannot guarantee a specific time. You will be advised of your ceremony time by email.
Please note that your provisional booking retains a time slot for a registrar to attend your ceremony only. Your marriage/civil partnership cannot take place until your legal preliminaries (notices) have been given and the final ceremony fees have been paid.
