Sports & Activities

Go On.... Get Active!

Children and young people with additional needs can often find it hard to access play and leisure opportunities. Across St Helens, there are a range of inclusive activities for children and young people to access, here are just a few of them ....

You can find out leisure centres at ....

All of our leisure facilities are built to meet accessibility standards, offering accessible changing rooms and toilet facilities.
Parr has a deck level pool for easy access and there are lifts in all of our multi-level establishments.

For more information please contact the centres directly and they will be happy to help you.

The swimming clubs using our facilities, are Swim 21 accredited, and our Parr site has a deck-level pool for easy access.
We also offer one-to-one ‘learn to swim’ sessions, along with group based classes.

Sports and Social - for over 18 year olds!

For over 18’s with additional needs we are holding sports and social sessions at our Selwyn Jones and Queens Park Centres. The sessions run from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Participants must provide their own lunch, and may be accompanied by another adult if required.

Our GoActive scheme now offers a reduced membership rate for our young carers.
