Schools library service

The Schools Library Service is based in Park Road and is open to teaching staff Monday to Friday.

Project Loan Service

We provide an extensive collection of information books to suit a wide range of ages and abilities. All project loans are tailored to meet specific topic requests and are delivered straight to your classroom at the start of each academic term. Additionally, we can support topic requests with audio-visual materials such as Whiteboard DVDs.

You can now order your Project Loans on line

Fiction Loan Service

A fiction loan box is delivered to your classroom twice a year with a selection of books and audio-visual resources to suit each child. The box remains with you until the next visit, when we replace it with another box - filled with new and exciting materials.

Library Advisory Visit

A professionally qualified librarian can give advice on planning the school library/library resource centre, management systems for the school library and assistance with stock editing.

Book Purchase Scheme

You can buy new resources for your school library at a preferential discount. Books can be supplied shelf-ready with Dewey number and plastic wallet.

Other services include:

  • Class sets of fiction/non-fiction titles, including poetry and plays
  • Geographical, Historical and Religious artefacts
  • DVD Whiteboard Active
