St.Helens Central Library has a wide range of books, CDs and DVDs on offer and more than 90 new PC and iMac computers. 

The Children's Room has 5 Apple iMac and 5 Windows computers, two 50" plasma monitors, two X-box Kinects and interactive projector.

iHub

Welcomes 13 - 23 year olds and has a Wii-Fit and large screen monitor, 15 iMac computers, 50" Plasma screen, large-screen projector and a writing wall.

Central Library UKonline 10iLearn

Has both Windows and Apple computers a touch-screen plasma monitor and is available for booking by small groups (6-15 people).  It also has a studio quality video camera, graphics tablets and video and sound editing facilities available.  If you want more information about our state of the art digital media editing tools please get in touch.

Local History and Archives Service

The Local History and Archives Library holds the historic records of St.Helens Borough Council and some of its old constituent authorities (Billinge and Winstanley, Haydock, Newton-le Willows and Rainford). Local history collections of books, pamphlets, local newspapers, maps and photographs are also held. Additionally, there are extensive genealogical records of a local, national and international nature.

Free Internet Access and a range of free learning opportunities for everyone are available from our UKOnline Section.
