It’s time for the Time Lord!

Fans of Britain’s best-loved sci-fi show are in for a treat on Saturday 10 May when Dr Who Day touches down in Church Square in St Helens town centre.

A Dr Who lookalike will be taking centre stage when he appears as one of the most recognisable ‘doctors’ – Tom Baker’s fourth incarnation who appeared in 172 episodes between 1974 and 1981.

The Time Lord will be appearing with his famous Tardis and trusty robot sidekick K9 along with some of his most notorious opponents from over the years, including both Daleks and Cybermen.

The show gets underway at 11am (closing at 4pm) and there will be plenty of opportunities for fans to have their pictures taken with all the characters.

Forthcoming town centre events include the European Gift Market (13-17 May) in Church Street; Healthy in St Helens (16-17 May) in Parish Church/Church Square; the Westfield Street Music Festival (8 June) at venues throughout Westfield Street and The Circus Comes To Town (21 June) in Church Square. St Mary's Market will also be featuring a number of fantastic regular events including a Family Art Club, Flea Market and Food & Craft Fairs.

St Helens town centre provides a great range of high street stores and independent shops, quality restaurants, pubs and bars. Easily accessible car parking can be found at Chalon Way Car Park and throughout the town centre.
