There are a number of payment methods available for payment of council bills, which are both quick and convenient.

Telephone – by calling the Contact Centre on 01744 676789 from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 2pm on a Saturday. Or in person at the Contact Centre (credit and debit card only).

You will need your invoice / account reference number available.
If you have a bar-coded bill the Post Office will accept cash, cheque and debit card payments, cheque payments should be made payable to Post Office Ltd. Details of your nearest Post Office can be found at www.postoffice.co.uk
If you have a bar coded bill Payzone Outlets will accept cash only; your nearest Payzone outlet can be found at www.payzone.co.uk/store-locator
Please make cheques or postal orders payable to “St Helens Council” and send to the Income Section, Lincoln House, Corporation Street, St Helens, WA10 1UQ. Please ensure you write your invoice / bill number on the reverse of the cheque – receipts will only be issued on request.
A 2% charge will be made for payments of Council Tax and Business Rates by credit card. There is no charge for a debit card payment.
