There are a number of payment methods available for payment of council bills, which are both quick and convenient.

Direct Debits

For Council Tax and NNDR payments, for a Direct Debit mandate call 01744 675255.
For a Sundry Debtors Direct Debit mandate call 01744 675271.

Credit & Debit Card

Automated Telephone – 01744 671699, 24hrs a day 7 days a week.
Online at www.sthelens.gov.uk/pay - 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Telephone – by calling the Contact Centre on 01744 676789 from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 2pm on a Saturday. Or in person at the Contact Centre (credit and debit card only).
St Helens Libraries (credit and debit card only)
You will need your invoice / account reference number available.

Post Office

If you have a bar-coded bill the Post Office will accept cash, cheque and debit card payments, cheque payments should be made payable to Post Office Ltd. Details of your nearest Post Office can be found at www.postoffice.co.uk

Payzone

If you have a bar coded bill Payzone Outlets will accept cash only; your nearest Payzone outlet can be found at  www.payzone.co.uk/store-locator

Post

Please make cheques or postal orders payable to “St Helens Council” and send to the Income Section, 2nd Floor, Wesley House, Corporation Street, St Helens, WA10 1HF.

Please ensure you write your invoice / bill number on the reverse of the cheque – receipts will only be issued on request.

 A 2% charge will be made for payments of Council Tax and Business Rates by credit card.  There is no charge for a debit card payment.
